Udupi: Fisherman goes missing at sea near Malpe harbour

Udupi, May 26: A fisherman engaged in fishing operations near Malpe harbour reportedly went missing after accidentally falling into the sea on May 17.

The missing fisherman has been identified as Shankaragowda Shivappa Adoor (26).

According to police, the incident occurred while he was pulling in a fishing net at sea. Owing to the movement of the boat, he reportedly lost his balance, slipped, and fell into the water, following which he went missing.

He is about 5 feet 3 inches tall, has a dark complexion, and speaks Kannada.

Police have appealed to the public to share any information regarding the missing fisherman. Those with information may contact Malpe police station, the Malpe PSI, or the Malpe circle inspector.
