New York, Jun 3: Peabo Bryson, the celebrated R&B singer whose powerful voice helped create some of Disney's most memorable songs, has died at the age of 75.
Bryson passed away on Tuesday evening surrounded by family members and loved ones, according to a statement released by his family. While an official cause of death has not been disclosed, reports indicated that the singer had suffered a stroke over the weekend and was receiving medical treatment.

A towering figure in contemporary R&B, Bryson enjoyed a career spanning more than five decades and was known for chart-topping hits such as Feel the Fire, I'm So Into You, If Ever You're In My Arms Again, Can You Stop the Rain and Reaching for the Sky.
He achieved worldwide recognition through his Disney collaborations, winning Grammy Awards for two iconic duets. In 1992, he shared the award with Celine Dion for Beauty and the Beast, the title track of the animated classic. A year later, he won another Grammy alongside Regina Belle for A Whole New World from Disney's Aladdin.
In a heartfelt statement, Bryson's family said his music had served as the soundtrack to countless cherished moments across generations.
"For more than five decades, Peabo's extraordinary voice served as the soundtrack to some of life's most cherished moments," the family said, adding that his songs brought joy, comfort and inspiration to millions around the world.
They further described him as a beloved artist whose legacy would continue to live on through his music and the lives he touched.
Despite his age, Bryson remained active in the music industry. He recently performed alongside fellow singer Jeffrey Osborne at a concert in Georgia and had been scheduled to undertake several performances later this year as part of his Golden Touch tour, celebrating more than 50 years in music.
Just weeks ago, in April, Bryson marked his 75th birthday with family and friends and shared photographs of the celebrations on social media.
His passing marks the end of an era for R&B and Disney music fans worldwide, leaving behind a rich musical legacy that continues to resonate across generations.
