Fourth day of Novena devotion preceding the annual feast of St Anthony Held at Dornahalli, Mysuru

Mysuru, Jun 7: The fourth day of the Novena devotion in preparation for the grand annual feast of St Anthony was solemnly celebrated on Sunday, June 7, at St Anthony’s Basilica, Dornahalli, Mysuru.

The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr Lourdu Prasad, rector, St Philomena’s Autonomous College, Mysuru. He was joined by Fr David Sagayaraj, rector of St Anthony’s Basilica, and Fr Praveen Pedru, Administrator of the Basilica.

A large number of devotees gathered at the Basilica to participate in the holy Mass and Novena service, prayerfully preparing themselves for the annual feast of St Anthony. In his homily, Fr Lourdu Prasad encouraged the faithful to remain steadfast in faith, embrace Christian values, and place their trust in God’s loving providence.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, the Novena prayers were offered in honour of St Anthony for the various intentions of the devotees. The devotion concluded with the Procession of the Holy Statue of St Anthony and the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, fostering an atmosphere of deep prayer and spiritual renewal.

The Novena celebrations continue to attract devotees from different parts of Karnataka and neighbouring states, as they prepare to celebrate the annual feast of St Anthony with devotion and gratitude.
