MPSC aspirant begins indefinite fast over demand for offline exams

Pune, Jul 13: MPSC aspirant and activist Manoj Pingle on Monday began an indefinite hunger strike demanding justice for Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) students and the restoration of the offline examination system.

The hunger strike commenced at the District Collector's Office in Pune, where protests entered their third consecutive day.

The agitation centres on the demand that MPSC examinations should once again be conducted in the offline mode, as was the practice earlier. Protesters have expressed concerns over the current examination process and urged the Maharashtra government and the MPSC to revert to the previous offline system.

Students participating in the protest said the movement aims to safeguard the interests of MPSC aspirants and ensure a fair and transparent examination process. They have appealed to the authorities to address their demands at the earliest and initiate discussions with student representatives.

The protest continued peacefully as supporters gathered at the District Collector's Office to back the ongoing agitation. No official response from the Maharashtra government or the MPSC had been announced at the time of filing the report.
