Lucknow, Aug 19: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday conducted searches at multiple properties linked to Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi as part of a money-laundering investigation connected to the Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust and Mohammad Ali Jauhar University.
According to officials, the central agency searched around 10 locations across Rampur, Saharanpur and Delhi. The searches are aimed at tracing suspected proceeds of crime and collecting financial records, documents and digital evidence related to the alleged diversion of government funds.

Investigators are examining alleged financial transactions between certain private contractors and the trust. Officials suspect that contractors who benefited from government contracts may have diverted funds towards the university and trust through donations and payments linked to construction works.
The ED is also examining financial irregularities allegedly connected with the construction of the university. Sources said details of several cases previously registered against Azam Khan were shared with the agency during the course of the investigation.
The searches come amid separate scrutiny of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University over alleged violations in the construction of its buildings. Last month, the Rampur Development Authority (RDA) ordered the demolition of 38 structures at the university after authorities alleged that they had been constructed without approved building plans.
The action followed a fire safety audit conducted after a coaching centre fire in Lucknow prompted inspections of educational institutions across Uttar Pradesh. During its inspection, the Fire Department reportedly found that the university could produce sanctioned building plans for only two structures, while plans for 38 others were unavailable.
The university had reportedly argued that the land on which the structures were built previously fell under a gram panchayat rather than the development authority. However, the RDA subsequently ordered action against the structures it deemed unauthorised.
The ED's latest searches are part of its continuing probe into the alleged financial transactions and suspected diversion of funds linked to the trust and university.
Munich: Bayern Munich were left concerned after Jamal Musiala went down off the ball during a friendly against Heidenheim, prompting the medical team to rush onto the pitch.
The incident occurred in the 66th minute, just five minutes after Musiala had been introduced as a substitute. The Bayern players gathered around their teammate as medical staff attended to him.
Musiala eventually got back to his feet and walked off the pitch, briefly jogging before leaving the field. He appeared dazed following the incident and was substituted once again, with his teammates looking visibly concerned.
The latest episode has raised concerns at Bayern, particularly as it reportedly comes after a similar incident in the previous game. The club's medical team will assess Musiala to determine the cause of the episode and monitor his condition.
