Mangaluru, Oct 22: Following the grand Mangaluru Dasara Shobhayatre held on Wednesday, the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) undertook an extensive cleaning drive across the city on Thursday morning to clear the waste left behind by the celebrations.
With thousands of devotees and visitors participating in the annual festivities, large quantities of waste were generated along the procession route and its surrounding areas. Responding promptly, MCC sanitation workers began cleaning operations early in the morning, clearing the streets of discarded materials and restoring cleanliness.

The civic workers worked tirelessly to collect and remove the garbage, ensuring that roads and public spaces were made accessible to commuters and residents without delay. Their dedicated efforts helped bring the city back to normalcy after the large-scale event.
The prompt action highlighted the crucial role played by sanitation workers in maintaining public hygiene, particularly after major events that attract massive crowds. Their early-morning efforts ensured that Mangaluru's streets were clean and orderly following one of the city's biggest annual festivals.
