Moscow, Dec 7 (IANS/RIA Novosti): A woman in Russia's far east Amur region said she has stashed over 30 kg of marijuana and other drugs in her home for "pain relief", the Federal Drug Control Service said.
Police found 31 kg of marijuana and 927 grams of hashish oil hidden in the home of a 60-year-old woman in the village of Tambovka. They also found drug-making equipment there.
The FDCS did not say when the raid took place.
She claimed she needed to smoke "grass" to relieve the chronic pain she suffers as a result of her serious health problems.
The woman has been ordered not to leave the village while the investigation is ongoing.
She faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of "illegal manufacture and storage of drugs in especially large amounts".
