Agricultural store inaugurated at Hosabettu

Hosabettu resident Alan Nazareth has opened an agricultural accessories store in Prestige Towers opposite Municipal office in Moodbidri. 

Hosabettu parish priest Fr Alban D'Souza blessed the new venture and Magdalene Nazareth inaugurated it by lighting a lamp. Shri Dharmasthala Gramabhivruddhi Yojane's Pragatibandhu Okkuta Bavadabailu president Leo Nazareth was the chief guest and Prestige Towers owner Ravindra Pillai was the guest of honour.

Manohar Cutinho compered the programme.

State-level place for Alangar student Joslita

Seventh standard student Joslita Rebello has bagged third place in the Karnataka state-level hurdles race. She stood first in the taluk-level long jump, 100 metres race and 80 metres hurdles for women and bagged the taluk championship this academic year.

School Day of St Thomas English School

School day must be held every year so that students could get an opportunity to display their talents, said Dr M Mohan Alva as chief guest at the annual school day. The function was presided over by Alangar parish priest Fr Vincent D'Souza, with state government chief whip and Moodbidri MLA K Abhayachandra Jain as guest of honour. School headmistress read the annual report.

Sr Martha, Valerian Sequeira and Mark Rodrigues were on the dais.  P K Thomas welcomed the gathering, Jyoti proposed the vote of thanks and Lavina compered the function.

Yoga winners

St Thomas School students have won prizes in Yoga at taluk level.

Ninth standard student Prima Alena Pereira and 5th standard student Nikhil bagged the first prized, 8th class students Fiona Belinda Rodrigues and Sheetal Kumari second prizes, 9th standard student Sana, 8th standard student Jasmine Benedict and Syed Adnan have won third prizes.
