Mumbai, Jul 17: The twists and trysts between a boy and a girl from different backgrounds is the essential storyline of director Prabhudeva's soon to release movie 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya'.

Movie buffs may recollect that a similar storyline was part of Prabudeva's debut Telugu movie 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana'.

The movie is also often compared to the romantic blockbuster 'Maine Pyar Kiya' although the movie makers insist that it maybe on the lines of the movie but nowhere close to being the same.

The chance to re-direct one's own movie come to only the fortunate ones, and Prabhudeva is glad to take up this challenge in his latest venture. 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana' released in 2005 was a blockbuster that was also remade in Tamil and was a success.

With movies like 'Wanted' and 'Rowdy Rathore' in his kitty, Prabhu has made his mark in Bollywood as an action director, and although he began with romance as the main theme, the fact that rural India is being portrayed  in his flicks is noteworthy.

The stories characterized by Prabhu connect with the audience. The stories which are based on certain ideologies gives a peek into the thought process of the film maker. The songs of each of his movies have become hits with the lyrics and dance numbers that are a class apart from the rest. Ramaiya Vastavaiya has been tagged as a family movie that looks into the relationship between a brother and a sister, and their bond. The movie set based on the Punjab landscape adds a romantic quotient to the movie.

The newly cast pair of Girish Kumar and Shruthi Hassan glamorizes the movie. Dance has always been an integral part of Prabhudeva movies and in the latest movie he does have a guest appearance along side Jacqueline Fernandez.

Ramaiya Vastavaiya will be released in theaters on July 19 and is looking to make a bang at the box office. Here's to hoping that this historical director can make his mark.
