Mangalore: Inmate disrupts jailer duty, complaint filed

Mangalore, Sep 4: In an incident which took place at the district jail, a jail inmate used abusive words on the jailer who was on duty thus causing a disruption on Tuesday September 3 morning.

 A case is filed by at Barke police station with this regard.

As per the information obtained, while a trial prisoner Surya Kumar was talking to another inmate, jailers Vijay Kumar Chauhan asked him not wile away time and end the conversation.

Angered by this, Surya Kumar began to abuse  the jailer, thus disrupting him to perform his duty.

Surprise visit

On Tuesday evening, police team under the guidance of ACP Kavitha paid a surprise visit to district jail. They checked the jail conditions and inspected all the necessary aspects. Officials from all stations in city limits were part of the surprise visit.
