Beltangady, Mar 27: The 501 branch of the Syndicate Bank in the state was inaugurated at Car Street of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala on Sunday March 26.

The new branch, 501 in the state and 2003 in the country was inaugurated by Veerendra Heggade, dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala.

Speaking on the occasion he congratulated Synd Bank for its stupendous performance in the last few decades.  He fondly remembered the inauguration of the 1001 branch of Synd Bank in Mangalore some 2 decades ago which he attended personally.

"I personally indebted to Syndicate Bank a lot for its continuous support to me and to the projects under taken by Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) in the last few years.  Syndicate Bank has played a lead role in establishing and promoting RUDSET in association with Canara Bank.  I am happy to announce that one more branch of RUDSET was inaugurated in Rajasthan on Saturday March 25.  The 23 branch of the same will be opened in Uttar Pradesh shortly," he announced.

Prakash Malya, managing director of the bank presided over the function.

Harshendra Kamat, D N Kamath, general manager were also present on the dais.

While K U Shanbhog welcomed the gathering, Yuvraj Kellur proposed the vote of thanks.  K C Udupa compered the inaugural programme.
