Mysore, Apr 7: The Vijayanagar Police have arrested two Kenyan nationals in the city for illegally staying in the country after the expiry of Visa. They were produced in the Court and have been remanded to judicial custody.

The two have been identified as Gakogi Hiram Samuel and Moturi Brian Abincha, who were staying in Mahadeshwara Extensions and Kuvempunagar respectively. Samuel was overstaying since 2002 while Abincha overstayed since 2004.

After they were arrested and produced in the Court, Samuel was remanded to judicial custody till Wednesday April 12 and Abincha till Tuesday April 18.

The Police Commissioner Praveen Sood warned such foreign nationals who are overstaying in the city and asked them to obtain necessary permission from his office as illegal staying is a punishable offence.
