Mangalore: J R Lobo asks officials to improve safety at MCC swimming pool

Mangalore, Nov 23: For the purpose of improvising facilities at the MCC swimming pool in Mannagudda, a meeting was held under the guidance of MLA J R Lobo at Mangalore City Corporation here on Friday November 22.

During the meeting, MLA Lobo asked the officials to take measures to provide better safety for swimmers. He asked them to make arrangements such as installation of CCTV cameras and stretcher and oxygen facility in case of emergency at the pool. He stressed that the number of swimmers at the pool be limited to 125.

He also urged the officials to recruit trained security guards and lifeguards at the earliest, hold meetings every three months and take other measures to improve the swimming pool.

MCC commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde, officials Kantharaju, Yashwanth Kamath, Krishnananda, swimming pool manager Ramesh Bejai among others were present.
