Mangalore, Apr 20: A laudable move to promote education among Muslim community, Jamiyyathul Falah has stepped forward to launch an extensive education awareness drive. The main objective of this drive planned during the year 2006-07 in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, is to spread awareness on the importance of education.

A much needed campaign, as former president of the organization Mohammed Haneef said, would strive to identify school drop outs in the district and will bring them back to school. A special intension is also to promote education of girls. Girls in rural areas and students from economically weaker sections whose education is affected due to their condition will be provided assistance through the organization, Haneef revealed.

Community Hall: Jamiyyathul Falah has also taken up a project to construct a community hall. The foundation stone of this hall will be laid at Kankanady on Friday, April 21. Former minister for higher education B A Moiddin, State Minority Commission president M S Masood, mayor K Ashraf will participate in the event.
