Unknown man changed poll scenario in India: Omar Abdullah

Jammu, Dec 11 (IANS): An "unknown person" has changed the election scenario of not only Delhi, but also of the entire country, forcing politicians to change their mindset, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said Wednesday.

Without naming Arvind Kejrival, Abdullah said: "An unknown person who was till yesterday in the shadow of Anna Hazare has changed the election scenario of not only Delhi, but also the politics of the entire country."

"This proves people do not want old promises. We will have to change our thinking or face the consequences," Abdullah said during his visit to a women's self-help initiative group at Jaganu village in Udhampur district, 65 km from here.

Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party finished with 28 seats in its electoral debut in Delhi, ending the Congress's 15-year rule and leaving it badly bruised with only eight seats.
