Mangalore, Apr 25: The Almighty's blessings would always shower on those running or supporting educational and spiritual institutions, said Taj ul Ulema Syed Abdurrahman Al Bukhari Tangal on Monday.
Speaking after inaugurating the new building of Al Madeena Shareeat College at Manjanady on the outskirts of the city.
The institution director, C P Muhammad Kunhi Ustad pointed out that a barren land in suburban Manjanady had been turned into an education town by working round the clock on the project.
Karnataka Jamiatul Ulama president Bekal Ustad said that the madrasas had, over centuries, been imparting messages from the Holy Qur'an, social values and humanistic lessons.
Abbu Haji Kinya recited readings from the holy scriptures. Correspondent Abdurrahman Madani welcomed the gathering. K M K Manjanady compered the programme.
Institution president P M Abbas Musliar gave the introductory speech. Syed Twalar Kori of UAE, Syed Ismail Tangal, Mohammed Faizi, Aburrashid Sakhafi, K S M Masoud, Ibrahim Kodijal, Hameed Kandak and others were on the dais.
