Mangalore, Apr 26: In another water tragedy at Chitrapu estuary, two boys from Hoigegudde near Panamboor drowned on Tuesday April 25 evening.  Their bodies are not yet found.

The drowned have been identified as Imran, son of Abdulla and Avinash, son of Vasanti of Hoigegudde.  They had gone for swimming along with 12 other boys, at Chitrapu estuary (also known as Kolachekambla estuary), where Shambhavi and Nandini rivers merge with the Arabian Sea.

But as Imran and Avinash drowned, the other boys fled the place.  Though the locals saw some boys running away from the place and two boys drowning in the deep waters, they could neither get hold of any of the running boys nor could save the drowning boys.

Though the local youth tried to get information about any boyos missing, they could not since the boys were from Panamboor area.  However, the boys who fled the place went home and informed their parents about the tragedy.   It was only then that the people gathered at the place and tried to find the bodies of the drowned boys.  But the bodies were not yet found.
