Telangana bill to come in Rajya Sabha immediately: Kamal Nath

New Delhi, Feb 18 (IANS): Indicating that the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill may be introduced in Rajya Sabha Wednesday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath said Tuesday the upper house will "immediately" take up the bill.

"Telangana Bill will be brought to the Rajya Sabha immediately," he told reporters, soon after the Lok Sabha passed the bill to create Telangana by bifuracting Andhra Pradesh amid din.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is meanwhile set to move amendments to the bill in upper house. A debate is also expected to take place.

"Many times, bills cannot be discussed in Lok Sabha due to ruckus, but are discussed in Rajya Sabha. We hope Telangana bill is discussed in Rajya Sabha," said party leader leader Sushma Swaraj.
