Sri Lanka arrests 32 Indian fishermen


Colombo, March 4 (IANS): The Sri Lankan Navy arrested 32 Indian fishermen for crossing the international maritime boundary and poaching in Sri Lankan waters, the Sri Lankan Navy said Tuesday.

The navy said the Indians had been arrested in Sri Lanka's seas off the Delft Island which is under its control, Xinhua reported.

The Indian fishermen were arrested after they refused to turn back. Their eight boats were also seized.
