LS Election effect : CBSE Class XII exams rescheduled


NEW DELHI, Mar 7 (DHNS) : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the revised dates for the Class XII board examinations, postponing those which were clashing with the polls in April.

The examination for various subjects scheduled for April 9, 10, 12 and 17 will now take place on April 25, 21, 19 and 22 respectively. “Dates for the examination of other subjects will remain the same as notified earlier,” a CBSE statement said.

As per the revised schedule, Philosophy, Entrepreneurship, Office Procedure and
 Practices, Cash Management and Housekeeping, Communication and Health Nursing II exams will be held on April 19.

On April 19,  examination for Library Administration and Management, Computer and Life Insurance Administration, Basic Concept of Health and Diseases and Medical Terminology, Midwifery, Food Servi­ces-II, Geospatial Technology and Post Harvest Technology and Preservation will be held. Examination for these subjects was scheduled for April 12.


Students who have opted for Sociology, Graphic Designs, DTP Cad and Multimedia and Business Processes Outsourcing Skills as one of their subjects, will now have to appear for these papers on April 21. Earlier it was scheduled for April 10.

The Board will conduct examination for Agriculture, Creative Writing and Translation Studies, Painting, Graphics, Sculpture and Applied Art-Commercial Art on April 22. It was earlier scheduled to be held on April 17.

Urdu Elective, Music Carnatic Vocal, Music Carnatic Instrument Melodic, Music Carnatic Instrument Percussion, Music Hindustani Vocal, Music Hindustani Instrument Melodic, Music Hindustani Instrument Percussion and Urdu Core will now be held on April 25, instead of April 9.
