Karnataka Sangha holds 'Sahitya Chintana 5' programme

Mumbai, March 25: Sahitya Bharathi of Karnataka Sangha, Mumbai held 'Sahitya Chintana 5' programme at Samarasa Bhavan hall at Mahim west on Saturday, March 22 and well known drama director and thinker Dr Sripada Bhat gave a lecture on various faces of dramatic culture.

He said that if the actor speaks in a drama based on ugly subject, it will not be appropriate.  The words spoken once cannot be withdrawn. Drama is a relationship that brings people closer.  Drama consists of experience of drama artiste and the art lovers.  It consists of culture, literature, music, description and has become a famous art in the world.

G Burde, president of the Sangha, Vice president Dr Bharathkumar Polipu and Honorary secretary Omdas Kannangar were on the dais.  Dr Sripada Bhat was felicitated with a shawl and a memento.

B G Nayak, Srinivas Jokatte, Somnath Karkera, S K Bhavani, Ishwar Alevooru, Sushila Devadiga, S Daya, Mohan Marnad, Sumangala Shetty, Ahalya Ballal, Surekha Devadiga and others participated in the discussion programme and exchanged views.

Honorary secretary Omdas Kannangar welcomed, introduced Sri Pada and compered the programme.  Dr Bharathkumar Polipu proposed vote of thanks.
