UAE, Jun 23: In a glittering ceremony, Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, awarded degree certificates to Medical and Physiotherapy graduates at the second convocation of the Gulf Medical College held recently.

The occasion took place in the presence of Humaid Mohamed Obeid Qattami, minister for health, Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, chairman, Ajman municipality and Sheikh Dr Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, chairman, Rulers Court, Ajman who presented the mementos to the directors of Mafraq Hospital and Irani Hospital.

Thumbay Moideen, president, Gulf Medical College, conducted the convocation. B Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen, chairman, BA Group, India, presented the merit certificates to various students, stated a press release.

A total of 83 graduates from MBBS and BPT degree programmes were presented degree certificates. The graduation certificates, attested by the ministry of higher education, UAE, are accepted throughout the world.

Admission is open with limited seats in MBBS and BPT degree programmes for the coming academic year, the release said. Among those present at the occasion were Indian ambassador Chandra Mohan Bhandari and a host of dignitaries from General Authorities of Health Services, Abu Dhabi, Department of Health and Medical Services, Dubai and various other ministries.
