Koota Mahajagathu Angasamsthe celebrates Narasimha Jayanthi

Mumbai, May 20: Koota Mahajagathu Mumbai Angasamsthe celebrated Sri Guru Narasimha Jayanthi 13th BSKBA, Gokul, Sion with Gana Homa and Narsimha Homa. This was their fifth pooja; it began at 9 am under the guidance of Purohit Subramanya Aithal of Chembur with couple Vallabha and Jaidev Tantri.

After the pooja, Ramesh Rao, treasurer and Krishna Karanth, joint secretary of KMMA requested our eldest member, Parameshwarayya along with Nagaraj, DGM of Karnataka Bank, to release 'Mumbai Koota members directory.'


Nagaraj spoke on his roots in Saligrama and briefed on Kota Brahmins. The copies of directory were distributed to all the members. The youth services wing of KMMA which has been active since its inception. A power point presentation depicting various features of Koota Mahajagathu, included origin of Kota Brahmins, Saligrama temple, birth of KMMA and its activities. They also announced their four services wings viz senior citizen, employment, motivational counselling and ladies wing on this occasion. Rammohan Karanth and Rohan Karanth, who gave shape to the PPT were highly appreciated by the audience.

This was followed by thirtha prasad and lunch. The function in the evening began with a bhajane by Gokula Kalavrunda. The pooja was performed by BSKBA purohit Hari Bhat along with H Laxminarayan and his wife. After the pooja, prasada and upahara was served to all.

With the presence of around 200 members, it was a memorable function with good participation. Everyone took the blessing of GuruNarasimha and appreciated the function conducted in the morning as well as evening.
