Veiled attack on Team Rahul by section of Cong leaders

New Delhi, May 22 (PTI): In a veiled attack on 'Team Rahul' over Congress' poll debacle, a section of party leaders today said only those having experience of field work should be given "leadership posts" and wanted a "ruthless introspection" to help it bounce back.

Congress leader Milind Deora, who had yesterday said that Rahul Gandhi's advisers did not have their "ears to the ground" and those with "no electoral experience" were "calling the shots", today stuck to his stand, saying his comments are borne out of deep loyalty to the party and pain due to its performance in the polls.

"My comments are out of emotions of deep loyalty to the party, pain of our performance & a sincere desire to see us bounce back. Nothing more," Deora said on Twitter.

In comments that stoked a blame game within the party and appearing to question 'Team Rahul', he said, "Field party work & electoral battles are key to comprehend ground realities. This should form the basis for leadership posts in Congress."

Senior party leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi appeared to be in agreement with the views expressed by Deora and hoped that an "honest and ruthless introspection" is carried out to rectify the problems.

Chaturvedi said while whatever Deora stated might not be fully correct but "large portion of what he said is correct".

The remarks are considered significant in the wake of a growing perception in the party that a number of people with no electoral experience and novices in politics were given key roles in shaping up the decisions of the leadership on issues like campaigning and alliances.

AICC Secretary Priya Dutt, who met Congress President Sonia Gandhi today, also talked of a "disconnect" of the party leaders with the people.

"We need to bridge that gap. We need to bring that right upto the leadership. There is a lot of criticism. We have to look at where we have gone wrong in the past ten years," she said.

Both Deora and Dutt lost the elections in Mumbai.

They are considered to be part of Rahul's team and it may be mentioned that Deora's assertions in the past on some issues were also followed up by action taken by the Congress Vice President.

Senior Congress leader Capt Amarinder Singh, however, said the Congress should take "collective responsibility" for the rout in which the party got just 44 seats.

NCP leader Majid Memom said Deora's remarks signify that he has indirectly commented on Rahul also.

This is very true. Had he beocme the home minister the congress would have had better shape. One of the most and obvious corrupt people are Police, RAW agents, CBI officials. One has to have a control over them. They have the power and a common man has the innocence and shy nature. Nobody comes forwards and these law enforcing agents unlike politicians have the fixed life term rigs, rigs and rigs the society of its money. They will force people to eat shit and force them to say its a 5 star delight. They force the people to accept the low salary.

Hope and wish that Pappu continues lead the Congress party till it gets destroyed completely.
Modi need not do anything. Pappu will help Modi to destroy Congress.
In real sense more than Amit Sha , Pappu has indirectly helped BJP to win 73/81 seats in UP.

Rahul Gandhi if he has to come up politically should take:
    1.Hindi oration classes from Modi.
2.Public speaking course from Smriti Irani. Never mind if she lost to him!
    3.Change the 'coterie' around him.
4.Listen to 'elders' in the party who have an 'elected' and 'administrative' record.
    5. Keep away from the likes of Sibal, Aiyar, Beni Prasad ,Shinde and the lot.
6.Remove the likes of 'Sanjay Jha'from the post of spokesperson.
    7. Encourage speakers like 'Manish Tiwary' to come more in the fore front.
    8. Give oldies over 70-75 a big hug and rest from administrative posts.
    9. Learn to speak Hindi properly so what if it is from A-aa, EE EEEEEEEE...-He has five years to 'master the language'.
    10. Learn the art of 'involving people',whether he speaks or does any work.
Well if he does all this 44 maybe become 88 next time and who knows?
But if he doesn't mark my words not even 22 and then who knows???

Rahul is a poor communicator and with any experience versus Modi who organized excellent rallies and campaign. If congress had projected some experienced politician as thier PM candidate they could have crossed 100 seats but not the defeat. Added to this factor this is strongly an anti-incumbency and price rise factors that led BJP victory for upto 10 years.

Its not Rahul or party advisors to Rahul for the downfall of Congress. Its the late silent lame duck PM Mr. Manmohan Singh who allowed scams, scandals and corruption to flours under his thumb under UPA. Rahul or any other leader could correct this phenomenon during election campaign. Thats the reason why BJP succeeded and of course Mr. Modi was a sole game changer for BJP

There are many reasons for the defeat of Congress.
    1. The UPA Govt was involved in three major scams where the PM did not do anything to stop them.
    2. UPA-2 Govt was hardly functional and the people have lost confidence in them.
    3. The UPA Govt did not highlight their achievements to the grass-root level by their foot soldiers.
    4. The members of the inner circle of Rahul Gandhi campaign team had no political experiences and they functioned through their laptops and they never cared for human touch to their election campaign.
    5. Rahul Gandhi was not groomed with ministry experience and he did not have great mass appealing quality.
    5. Rahul Gandhi was not approachable to the senior political advisers and he could be reached through prior e-mail appointments and machine operated telephony
    6. Rahul Gandhi had disconnected from majority of the party candidates and they all were blank about the central strategies, plans and approaches.
    7. There was neither internal democracy within the Congress party nor in the youth Congress hence they were all demoralised.

The Congress should give opportunity to the experienced, able and honest leaders to lead the party and not stick to the dynasty rule or remote control rule.
It is better late than never.
    Jai Hind!

Dear all, this is the 21st Century were social media is very active and all info can be obtained by a click of the mouse. The common man is now aware of the true colors of the fake ‘Gandhi’s. They also know now how the ‘sur name’ was inherited and how they had been Bullsxxted for decades. They desperately wanted a change from the rampant corruption, scams, misrule. Meanwhile the interview that Raul Vinci gave on TV was the last nail in his coffin. His educational back grounds were widely exposed. Were ever he campaigned, his drawbacks were clearly shown & in these constituencies Cong was washed out. How could one count on an inexperienced idiot who never held an office of responsibility. It was only in Mlore a certain faction called him a ‘Prince’. Apparently for Cong to bounce back, they have to get rid of this family.
On the other hand Modi’s speech had conviction the common man related to him when he spoke about his poverty stricken upbringing etc. Though he counter attacked Congs allegations he spoke about his aspirations, developments, etc. & it was clearly evident in Gujarat. This had even the educated minorities giving him support. So now lets wait and see how he delivers or was he just faxting like others.
