On day 1, DU form sale dips by over 15,000


New Delhi, June 2 (IANS): On day one of registration to Delhi University's four-year undergraduate programme, the sale of online and offline forms fell by 15,440 compared to last year.

The sale of forms in 18 centres across Delhi began Monday.

"A total of 32,460 offline forms were sold," DU's joint dean of students' welfare and media coordinator Malay Neerav said in a statement.

Last year, 42,860 offline forms were sold in 12 centres across Delhi.

On Monday, 3,129 forms were submitted at the centres.

With the DU website not working, only 2,345 online optical mark registration (OMR) forms were filled and payments made.

Last year, 7,385 forms were submitted online on the first day.
