Kasargod: Woman from Mangalore dies in car-lorry collision

Kasargod, Jun 10: A collision between a car and a lorry on Sunday June 9 near Kanangad Chalingal claimed a woman's life and caused injuries to five persons.


The deceased has been identified as Lucy D'Souza (62), a resident of Mangalore Hill Tower apartment. 

The seriously injured Raymond (40), his wife Nishal (38) and Ramon (9) have been admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore. 

Sandhya (52), sister of Lucy D' Souza and Melwin Pereira (35), Sandhya's son who were also injured were admitted to a private hospital in Mavungal.

They were traveling to Mahe church from Mangalore. 

The car was badly damaged. The locals and police who rushed to the spot took the injured to the hospitals.
