Governors of Jharkhand, Odisha call on Modi


New Delhi, June 10 (IANS): Syed Ahmed and S.C. Jamir, the governors of Jharkhand and Odisha, respectively, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here Tuesday, according to a PMO statement.

A statement from the prime minister's office said these were courtesy meetings.

"The Governor of Jharkhand, Syed Ahmed, called on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in New Delhi today. The Governor of Odisha, S.C. Jamir, too called on him. These were courtesy calls," the statement said.
