India's industrial output rises by 3.4 percent in April


New Delhi, June 12 (IANS): India's industrial output rose by 3.4 percent in April, led by a healthy 12 percent growth in electricity production, government data showed Thursday.

Manufacturing production grew by 2.6 percent, while mining output increased by 1.2 percent during the month under review, according to data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) here.
