Mangalore: Thieves loot gold, cash from house at Bajpe

Mangalore, Jun 16: Thieves broke into a house at Dhoomavatinagar, Bajpe here during the intervening night between Sunday June 15 and Monday Monday 16 and decamed with gold and cash.

The theft took place in the house of Dayanand Kotian, who is employed as security guard in a city-based company.

Kotian along with his wife and children had been on a visit to a relative's house, hence no one was at home at the time of the theft.

The thieves got away with three sovereigns of gold, Rs 50,000 cash, TV and other valuable items.

Fingerprint experts and canine squad arrived at the spot.

A case has been registered in Bajpe police station.
