Mandd Sobhann to present 'Kalakulotsav' from Jun 21

Mangalore, Jun 17: The third edition of 'Kalakulotsav', a four-day Konkani drama festival by 'Kalakul', Konkani's lone theatre repertory, run by Mandd Sobhann, will be held at Don Bosco Hall on June 21, 22, 28 and 29.

The four plays which will be showcased on these days are 'Madtir Bhagath Singh' on Saturday June 21, 'Platform No.3' on Sunday June 22, 'Golimar Prasang' (play based on the stories by Dr Edward Nazareth) on Saturday June 28 and 'Ticket' on Sunday June 29.


All the plays have been written by Arun Raj Rodrigues and directed by Christopher D'Souza NINASAM. The plays will commence at 6.30 pm on all the four days.

Theatre artist and managing director of Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd Mangalore, Walter D'Souza Nandalike  will inaugurate the theatre festival.

Speaking to the media at the press club here on Tuesday June 17 administrator of Kalakul Arun Raj said, "Kalakul is recognized by the song and drama division of the central news and broadcasting ministry; people should attend the Kalakulotsav and encourage the artists."

Christopher D'Souza NINASAM, trainer Kalakul, Eric Ozario, gurkar, Mandd Sobhann, Louis J Pinto, president of Mandd Sobhann and others were also present at the conference.
