Myanmar's religious affair minister sacked


Yangon, June 20 (IANS): Myanmar Minister of Religious Affairs U. Hsan Hsint has been sacked for misappropriating state funds, the president's office said Friday.

Legal action will be taken against the sacked minister, Xinhua reported.

The minister was also charged with fomenting trouble between Buddhist monks and the State Sanga Maha Nayaka Committee, the highest office of Buddhist monks in the country.
