Bhatkal: Man stabbed over personal issues

Bhatkal, June 24: Chandrashekar Chawdu Naik, a resident of Shirali was injured when a group stabbed him while he was walking in Shirali, Bhatkal taluk.

According to sources, there was a personal issue between Chandrashekar and another person on Saturday night which led them arrive at a compromise. However, the next day a group of six people came in an auto-rickshaw and attacked Chandrashekar. 


Chandrashekar suffered a deep wound on his waist and lost a lot of blood. After initial treatment at the Bhatkal government hospital, he was shifted to Kundapur.

The police have arrested three of the attackers who were identified as Jagdish Narayan Naik, Kamalakar Naik and Mahadev Subba Naik alias Putthu. The other three attackers are not yet arrested.

A case has been registered at the Bhatkal rural police station.
