Mangalore, June 28: In an incident that took place, a 47-year-old man has been arrested for raping his daughter; the accused identified as Chandrashekar is a resident of Karambaru, Bajpe.
The incident took place within limits of the Bajpe police station.
It is said that Chandrashekar's first wife passed away few years ago and he was living her 17-year-old daughter and his wife's sister.
It is learnt that the accused had the habit of consuming alcohol and Chandrashekar, from past several months has been raping his daughter; after performing this act he used speak about it publically. Locals who came to know about the issue complained to the child line authorities.
Once the complaint was received, the child line officers conducted a raid in the house of the acccused and handed him over to the police.
The victim has been admitted to a private hospital for medical treatment. A case has been registered in the Bajpe police station.
