Mangalore: Freak accident kills rider

Mangalore, Jun 28: Yashwant (57), who was riding a motor bike, was killed in a freak road accident which occurred on the evening of Thursday June 26 at Naguri on NH 75 in the city.

Yashwant was moving on his motor bike towards Pumpwell Circle from Alape Padil, when another motor bike had a brush against his motor bike while overtaking him. The shoulder bag of the pillion rider of the other motor bike got entangled in the hand of Yashwant and handle bar of the motor bike he was driving. 

Yashwant's head and shoulder were injured after he lost control over his vehicle, and was thrown on to the road with great force due to this incident. He was admitted into a private hospital immediately. He breathed his last on Friday June 27 morning, as treatments could not improve his condition. 

The rural station policemen after registering a case relating to this accident, transferred the same for investigation to traffic(east) police station.
