New Delhi, June 29 (IANS): It was a sunny morning Sunday in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 30 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. The Met Office has forecast a partly cloudy day ahead.
"The skies will be partly cloudy throughout the day and thunderstorm may occur in some part of the cities," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8:30 a.m. was 62 percent.
The maximum temperature Saturday was recorded at 39.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
