Mangalore, Jul 12: Policemen from the town station here arrested two persons and seized a motor bike and ganja packet from their possession on Thursday July 10. The arrests were made from near Beeramale Betta near Mukrumpady here.
The operation was jointly undertaken by the tahsildar and a team of policemen led by police sub-inspector of the town station, Abdul Khader. Taranath (20) from Mukrumpady in Kemminje, and Aravind (20) from Tarigudde in Chikkamudnur, were arrested.
Acting on a tip off, Abdul Khader and tahsildar, M T Kulle Gowda, had led the operation. 300 grams of ganja powder packed in plastic sachet as well as a motor bike were recovered, and accused were produced in court, it is gathered.
