Udupi, July15: The oath taking ceremony of the Udupi Deanery Council 2014-’15 was held at Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi on July 13 at 5 pm.
The ceremony began with a prayer conducted by Fr Alban D’souza, director of ICYM Udupi Deanery. Fr Alban D’souza also led the oath taking ceremony.
All ICYM office bearers of the unit were present for the ceremony. This was followed by the first official meeting of the Deanery council for the 2014-’15. The newly elected president Don D’souza, Perampalli welcomed the gathering.
The council has planned for a deanery Sahamilan 'Yuva Samagam' which will be held on August 24. ICYM deanery animator Maxim D’sa shared few words with the youth and promised his support throughout the year.
Fr Alban D’souza congratulated the previous council for their outstanding work and wished good luck and blessings to the newly elected council.
ICYM Udupi Deanery secretary Samantha Alva, Kalmady delivered the vote of thanks and the meeting concluded by giving thanks to the Lord.
