Mangalore, Aug 14: The Ullal police have arrested 16 persons including 6 young women during a raid conducted on an unauthorized live band joint at Someshwar-Uchila near here on Sunday August 13 night.  The police have also seized sound system, liquor and cars during the raid.

It is said that 4 bar dancers from Bollywood Live Band joint at Padavinangady were taken to a beach house (guesthouse) where an illegal live band joint was running.  The police led by Ullal inspector Jayanth Shetty received news about it and they reached the house and raided it in the late night.

The police arrested Madhu Jain, Neha Agarwal, Priya Ramesh and Manju, the four bar dancers and  customers Vishal Fernandes of Valencia, Ilias, Dejappa, Nisar, Hasan, Joseph, Nisar Ahmad, Harish Attavar, Rafique, Gangadhar Nayak, Melwyn, Prasad.  The police are now searching for Bollywood Live Band partner Ganesh Kamath, Dinesh, Beach House in-charge Krishnappa Adka with regard to the case.

As reported earlier, all 13 legally-run live band joints of the districts were closed down following new set of regulations issued by the administration.  Till these joints met those requirements and regulations, district administration had asked them to close down their business.

However Ganesh Kamath of Bollywood live band joint had shifted his dancers and daily customers to guesthouse at Someshwar-Uchila where this illegal live band joint was running.
