Kasargod, Aug 23: The priests and community leaders of Konkani Catholic church in Kasargod led by the Kasargod diocese chief priest and Bela Mother of Sorrows Church chief priest Fr Vincent D'Souza submitted a memorandum to the Kasargod Deputy Commissioner P S Mohammed Sageer requesting him to include the Konkani Latin Catholic Community in the OBC category.
Kasargod MLA N A Nellikunnu, Manjeshwar MLA P B Abdul Razak, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president Roy Castelino, committee convener Raju Steephan D' Souza, advocate M S Thomas D' Souza, priests of thirteen parishes in the diocese and committee members were present.
