Kasargod: Sand laden lorry hits auto; five children injured

Kasargod, Aug 27: A sand laden lorry hit an auto transporting children in Kumble Bhaskar Nagar on Tuesday evening August 26. The auto lost balance, tumbled and fell in a ditch, thus injuring the driver and five students in it.

The injured students were from Kumble Holy Family school. Fourth standard student Deepthi, second standard student Sameeksha, third standard student Maurice, Dhanush and auto driver Narayana are the injured. They have been admitted to Kumble district government hospital.

The accident occurred when the lorry plying to Badiadka hit the auto plying from Kumble to Naikapu. Local people rushed the injured to the hospital.
