Mangalore, Sep 1: The 14th inter parish dance competition was organized for the parishioners of Mangalore Diocese by the Konkani Natak Sabha Mangalore in the Don Bosco Hall on Sunday, August 31.

The competition was held in three categories i.e. below 10 years, 10 to 15 years and above 15 years in ladies duet, gents duet, mixed group and married couple.

101 participants in 32 entries from eight parishes took part in the competition.

In the below-15 year’s category, Cordel parish bagged the first place while Madanthyar parish stood second and Bajal parish bagged third place.

In the above-15 years category Cordel and Ashoknagar parish bagged the first place, Angelore second and Modankap and Urva third place.

Suma Gracy, Reshma Flavia Moras and Hilda D’Costa were the judges.

President Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Dolphy Saldanha compered the programme. Treasurer Prem Lobo introduced the judges. General Secretary Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks and convenor Tresa Pinto, announced the results.
