Udupi, Sep 2: Karnataka Dalita Sangharsha Samiti held a press meet against SMS aided PU college Brahmavar on Monday September 1 at press club here.

M Devdas, state organizer, KDSS said, "The institution had published an advertisement in Udayavani newspaper on May 22, 2009 for the post of Kannada and English lecturers. It was also published in The Hindu and Vartha Bharathi in small columns; the job seekers have failed to notice it. Approximately 11 candidates participated in the interview. Later Prasanna Adiga and Zansi Barnes were selected eventhough their marks were less."

He also said that the district DDPI had involved in the foul play and demanded that the appointment process should be held according to the reservation policy.

K Karunakar Mastar, Malpe, senior leader of DSS, Ramesh Kotian, district convener, Prashanth, Imanuel Harish Kumar, Sundar N Anjar, district treasurer and others were present.
