Bantwal, Sep 3: Thieves broke into Shree Agnidurga Brahmalingeshwara Temple at Bambila here on Tuesday September 2 late night and looted jewellery from the idol and Rs 30,000.

It is said that the thieves barged into the temple by removing the roof tiles with the help of a ladder.

After getting into the temple, they broke into Angidurga temple shrine by breaking the doors using pickaxe and sickle and took away 14 sovereigns of jewellery. Strangely, the they did not take away the golden eye mask of the idol of the presiding deity.

Thieves also got into Brahmalingeshwara shrine but did not find anything there.

They broke the locker of the temple office and carried Rs 30,000.

The incident came to light when the priest came for prayers on Wednesday at 5 am.

At least let the thief\thieves enjoy this wealth. Otherwise it will be kept in the lockers without any use for years and years without any use for anyone.
It is the God's gift to them
But as per law robbing\looting etc is an offence and should be punished.

Just wondering why human is doing this ?? is it a sign of this universe getting in bad happenings in the future. All religion / community have a scare of GOD, who is the supreme power. I am sure the culprits shall surely pay for such a act very soon.
