New Delhi, Sep 6 (IANS): Recycled home products, traditional quilts, Kantha work and hand-woven textiles - all of these would be on display at a two-day exhibition beginning here Sunday that would showcase the work of several marginalised craft producers, organisers said Saturday.

The Kolkata-based NGO, Sasha in association with designer Sonam Dubal's brand "Sanskar" has organised the exhibition - "Tsutra" - at Alliance Francaise where a collection of ensembles for women including hand-woven textiles, prints, layered jackets as well as personal accessories and home textiles would be on display.

"We are bringing different types of crafts that are indigenous to West Bengal in this exhibition. We have been working with various craftsmen from marganilised communities and creating avenues for their sustainable development," Raminder Khan, national marketing manager, Sasha, told IANS.

"We help these craftsmen to create eco-friendly products. Working with established designers helps them with design development," she added.

This is the third edition of the exhibition in the capital and Khan feels through exhibitions like these, their works reach out to a larger audience.

"We are working with over 100 marginalised craft producers who belong to communities primarily based in West Bengal and other parts of eastern India and providing them access to national and international markets," said Khan.
