Mangalore: Birth centenary of Mother Teresa celebrated at Paldane parish

Mangalore, Sep 7: The parish of Paldane, dedicated to Mother Teresa, celebrated her birth centenary on Friday September 5.

The holy mass was offered by Fr Gregory William Vas, parish priest of Paldane. All the teachers were felicitated with flowers on the occasion of Teachers' Day.

Principal of Rosario Pre-University College, Fr Alwyn Serrao inaugurated the church directory while Fr Jayaprakash inaugurated the church website.

Church vice-president William Lobo, secretary Veena Lobo, founder of church website Roshan Lasrado and owner Four Wings Advertisement E Fernadis were present.

    The parish of Paldane, dedicated to Mother Teresa, celebrated her birth centenary on Friday September 5. But she born on 26th August 1910, then its 105th birthday. She died on 5th September 1997, about 17 years back which is Mother Teresa's feast day as per our church. Congratulations to all Paldane parishioners.
