Bangalore. Sept 25: It has been reported that young engineer Amith Rai died in a tragic road car accident on his way to Tirupathi. He was on vacation and was traveling in a Maruti Wagnor along with two of his cousins Sandeep and Rakesh to seek blessings of Lord when this unfortunate heartbreaking accident occurred.

The news of his death shocked NMCians and friends who are grief stricken at this sudden incident.

Just the other day Amith, a cheerful and well mannered bachelor left to native place with lots of dreams and the fate cruelly took him away from us.

Amith (30) is the son of Balliottu Radhakrishna Rai, Alangaru.

It is reported hat all the three cousins died on the spot.

Amith Rai based in Dubai was head of of service departement of NMC.

Deccan Herald Adds:

Three persons from Bangalore, who were travelling to Thirupathi died in a mishap, when the Maruthi car they are travelling in met with a ironbar-laden lorry, at Ponnamakanahally village on National High way four, in the Gangavaram Mandal and Palamaneru taluk of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday

The lorry was going to Bangalore. Among the three friends who are residents of Kurubanahallu, JC nagar in Banglore city two were buried as the Maruthi car was dragged 50 feet away by the lorry, resulting in the explosion of the engine in the car.

Two persons were reduced to ashes and other who was sitting in the back of the car was removed by police who gave the details before succombing.

The deceased are Sandhip Shetty (30) who was running an workshop at Basaveshvaranagar in Bangalore and Amith, (22) a machanical engineer, Rakesh Hegde (27) who was working as a soft engineer at Dubai. The lorry driver and cleaner fled the accident spot.
