Dubai, Sep 26: Lourdes Kanajar Association of Emirates is back once again with their annual sports event which will be held at the Emirates English Speaking School Grounds on 2nd Dec. 2006. In the last two tournaments held in 2004 & 2005, there has been a huge turnout of participants especially from the coastal region of Karnataka that helped LKAE showcase some of the finest sport talents available in the Emirate.  

The proceeds of the event will support the needy students back home in pursuing higher education in various fields. LKAE has sponsored seven needy children this year, who are currently undergoing studies in BSc. Nursing, Gen. Nursing and other Degree programs in Karnataka, India.

As per the communiqué received from LKAE, the tournament is open to all Kannadiga’s who belong to the state either by birth or their parents hailing from Karnataka. LKAE hereby invites all teams to participate in this event and make it successful and beneficial. There will be attractive trophies for the Winner & Runners-up teams as well as outstanding performances from individuals. LKAE spokesperson said that they would limit the entries up to a maximum of 10 teams in each discipline i.e., Women’s throw ball & Men’s volley ball; hence the registration will be on first come first serve basis.

You are kindly requested to confirm your participation by e-mail OR register with any of the following committee members by paying AED.150 /- as registration fees on or before 15-11-2006.

(Note: Arrangements have been made for the afternoon Lunch and also refreshments will be available at the venue)
