Dubai, Sep 26: Byndoor Catholic Association (Association of Byndoor Parishioners residing in UAE ) a 25 years old and one of the most Oldest Konkani Community Association in UAE this year celebrating their silver jubilee & celebrated their Monthi Fest-2014 on Sept 26, 2014 at President Hotel, Karama, Dubai.
At the beginning BCA liturgical secretary Charles Rebeiro conducted the prayer service, included showering of flowers. The children came in a procession with flowers, and offered the flowers to Mother Mary by singing "Sakkad Sangatha Melyan and Morriyek Hogalsiyan" hymns.
In between there was a short stage function with Community leader Walter Nandalike - Editor- in –Chief Daijiworld, Dayan D’Souza - Founder of Daiji Dubai and Joseph Mathias-Managing Director, Merit Freight Shipping LLC called on the stage and honored with floral bouquet by BCA members. BCA president Ashok Dias welcomed the dignitaries on stage. BCA Silver Jubilee Committee President & Event Manager Rony Byndoor speaks out the BCA Flash Back and also spoke about the plans of the Celebrating Silver Jubilee on 4th January 2015 at Native Place Byndoor Parish. In his speech Dayan D’Souza, saluted BCA and the parishioners for their unity and BCA is one of the UAE's First Senior Associations in Parish Level in U.A.E. BCA Honorary Ex-President Francis Rebello and Secretary Miller Rodrigues presence on the stage with guests.
The gathering was various entertained Dance by Baby Simran Reberio & Riyanna Pereira. Some popular melodious songs sung by Rony Byndoor, Miller Rodrigues, Gretta D'Souza, Jacinta Nazareth, Flevy Lobo, Kiran-Heriat Lobo & Wilfred Nazareth. Music directed by young sensation Goldina D'Souza & Clive D’Souza. Rib tickling skits were enacted by Ashok Dias, Kiran Lobo, Wilfred Nazareth, Robert Nazareth, Santhosh Lobo & Melvin Lobo. Rolphy Nazareth conducted various spot prizes. Housie Housie game was conducted by Francis Rebello and Charles Rebeiro and attractive prizes were distributed to the winners prior to the closing ceremony.
Delicious traditional Mangalorean "Novem Jevan" and Sweet Vorn was served by President Hotel Staff. More than 150 people attended this event. It was a well organized program appreciated by all.
