Y Nagesh, Ex director of Bharath Bank, passes away

Mumbai, Sep 29: Yennegudde Nagesh(87), Senior member and former executive president of Billavara Assocation, Mumbai and former director of Bharath Cooperative Bank (Mumbai) Ltd passed away at his residence at Sindhi Camp at Kurla east on Monday, Sep 29 morning.

He hailed from first Gurikara of Udupi Katpady in undivided Dakshina Kannada district and was well known as Y Nagesh. He was the secretary of Katpady Vishwanath Temple committee in Mumbai, member of renovation committee of Gokarnanatha temple, Kudroli and had served in Lalitha Rukkaram Salian Educational Institutions.

He had a huge social concern and served in Billavara Association for six decades holding different posts in it. The deceased has left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a large number of relatives.

Former union finance minister B Janardhan Poojary, Billavara Association Mumbai honorary president Jaya C Suvarna, Nityananda D Kotian, Former president L V Amin, Women's wing executive president Shankuntala K Kotian, executive presidents of local and coordination committees of the association and office bearers, hundreds of members, Bharath bank Executive Vice President advocate Rohini J Salian, Ex Executive President V R Kotian, Managing Director C R Mulki, hundreds of elite, office bearers of several organizations and members, Bharath bank officials and employees have expressed their condolences on the sad demise of Y Nagesh.

The last religious rites of the deceased were held in Kurla crematorium in the evening. Several elite people went to his residence, offered their last respects and participated in his last rites.
