Kabul, Oct 1 (IANS): At least nine people were killed and 19 injured Wednesday after two separate suicide bomb attacks targeted army vehicles in the capital city of Kabul.

The first attack took place at 6.20 a.m. after a suicide car bomb targeted an army bus running in front of Ghazi High School in western Kabul, killing seven and injuring 15, an army official said.

The second bombing hit an army vehicle in northern Kabul, wounding two army officers and two civilians, spokesman General Zahir Azimi said in his twitter account.

The victims were seven army personnel and the two suicide bombers, Xinhua reported.

The army vehicles were carrying the personnel to drive them to their offices.

The attacks came a day after the country and the US inked the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) to allow limited number of troops to remain in Afghanistan after the 2014 pullout of NATO-led troops in the country.

Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incidents.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid told local media from undisclosed location that the attacks were a response to the signing of the deal.
